Igoogle; And the want to show each other.

June 8th, 2007

Igoogle is the new name for Goog’s once aptly name “personalized homepage”. But, understandably, of course, they had to give in a name and a brand and some way for us to give it identity and conversational differentiation.

And it is fun to create you’re own little environment what with the ability essentiall control up to five pages in the form of “tabs” and perus through the available widget like piece of information either in the form of tools of windows to other news and entertainment sources. This leaves little to be questioned or unclear about the power of syndication and the web 2.0 reality.

Questions though:

1. How come there’s no warning about the time to load my igoogle when set as the hompage of my browser?

2. I spent all this time on my igoogle page and now I’m kinda proud of it. Why isn’t there a way for me to send a link to it or decide who in the community I’d like to share it with.

A freind just reminded me aobut google apps. Oh wow! Now we got something to work with….
